Overview 

The Dolomiti Superski Area offers the largest fully interchangabable lift ticket in the world, spanning 12 major sections. In the South Tyrol section of the area (which was once part of Austria), most places have two names - a German language name and an Italian one. In total, this massive area covers 50 ski resorts, with about 1,200 km of pistes and well over 400 lifts.

There is no-where else you will see this guarantee: "Guaranteed snow on 840 km of slopes and 80% sunny days!"

The closest major international airport is in Innsbruck. Each resort varies but it is about a 1 and a half hour drive from Innsbruck, some resorts are further.
