Overview 

One of Europe's largest and most popular resorts, La Plagne has 10 different bases, six purpose-built and four traditional and semi-autonomous, offering 'something for everyone.' The highest part is Aime La Plagne at 2100 metres, which is one huge complex with a slightly less huge Club Med property next to it.

La Plagne is a french ski area in the Alps (Savoie). Created in 1961, La Plagne contains ten separate villages. With 225 km of pistes it's one of the most important ski area in France. It is known for its accessibility to intermediates and beginners, and the connection via the Vanoise Express to Les Arcs.

La Plagne has also featured as a stage finish in the Tour de France. At the 1992 Winter Olympics, La Plagne hosted the bobsled and luge competitions. The track is still used occassionally for FIBT and FIL World Cup competitions.
