Mary's Slide

Mary's Slide was named after Mary Wallace (later Mary James) after she and three friends skied the slope in 1938.

Mary was a very graceful skier and no one ever saw her fall. The friends later admitted that Mary didn't slide on those first runs, they were just teasing her. According to local report, Mary was Australian champion 3 years running.
